Scrolling thru your instagram feed and spotted beaches that you cannot believe are found in Bali? Well let me tell you something – they do exist and they are incredible! Bali is chock-full of beaches that scream AMAZING – some are just a short scooter ride away and some are worthy of 2 night getaways and many of them are so secret you may never be able to find them.
Pandawa Beach is very worthy of a day trip; it has just recently become quite popular, as word has spread about this amazing long stretch of white sand and crystal clear blue water.
This place is old school Bali – no Starbucks or circle k’s in sight, just beach umbrellas and sarong sellers as far as the eye can see.
Getting there can be a bit of schlep. As you drive down winding roads that you think lead to nowhere, but believe me once you reach the descent in that road that leads to the start of this stretch of paradise you will know you have arrived somewhere.
When you first hit the car park – you may spot many big busses – but don’t despair – get off your scooter and head down to the paved path take a right and keep walking, you will see lots of “tin sheds” all housing warungs selling the yummiest and freshest local food, gado gado, satays, nasi goreng and lots more. The brightly coloured loungers can be “rented” for the day all shaded by big beach umbrella’s protecting you from the hot hot sun.
Snobs – Welcome to Pandawa beach. Picture perfect and pristine. Swim, snorkel, hire a paddleboat and head out to the waves past the rocks, where you will spot fish and be in awe at the crystal clear turquoise water. Pandawa provides a perfect Bali beach day for everyone.
Whilst you are laying in the water turn around and look up to the cliffs and checkout the lux villas that take in the magnificent view of pandawa from up high. These villas are all available to rent but you may need a lotto win to be able to afford the nightly rate.
Looking to escape the throng of Seminyak, us Snobs suggest a day trip to Pandawa where you will experience the real old school Bali.
Snobs tip : If heading there for the first time – take a driver – it can be a little hard to find but once you have been once you will never have a problem finding it again.
