A 45 minute drive from Seminyak (well okay can be 60 minutes in bad traffic) is a blissfully beautiful stretch of beach known very well to surfers from around the world called Keramas.

The word is slowly getting out about this surfer’s paradise and as a result accommodation is slowly popping up in and around this picturesque area, one of which is the magnificent Komune Beach Club & Resort.

I was looking for a new beach club to try and the photos I had seen of Komune totally captivated me – this stunningly beautiful resort is set on 180 metres of private lawns and gardens in amongst the 100’s of coconut trees and a total beach front property – where you witness every super sized snobby wave barrel on in.

Komune Resort Bali

As I made my way down the tropical lush pathway that lead from the carpark to the beach club – I was in total amazement of the magnificent stretch of Keramas beach, the photos I had seen did not do this place justice, WHAT – Why had I not been here before ?? I definitely have to get out of Seminyak more.

We grabbed a lounge right next to the beautiful bluer than blue and rounder than round beachside pool which was totally surrounded by day beds, bean bags and umbrellas to help shade you from the intense afternoon sunshine. This place has such a chilled, relaxed, party vibe – tunes were playing, waves were crashing, kids were swimming, suffers were taking on the gigantic waves, the staff were being incredibly helpful and their service was incredibly fantastic. I knew it was going to be a great day – and I was not disappointed.

Paddleboards and snorkels are on hand for when the tide goes out allowing you to explore the rock pools and crystal clear lagoons. And of course – if you surf, this venue could not be more perfect for you – it’s a match made in heaven.

Komune Resort Bali

At night Komune has an outdoor beachside cinema showcasing weekly surfing events, highlights from the days or weeks surfing are shown on the big screen as well as regular screenings of latest release movies

Hungry? (silly question) this incredible beachside structure houses a restaurant and bar both providing some amazingly good food choices, healthy salads, juices, burgers, pizzas along with some pretty delicious seafood. You will not go hungry here – with something on the menu to satisfy everyone. The cocktails are pretty awesome too all served with a huge big Balinese smile.

Komune Resort Bali

When it came time to head back to the Yak, I have to be honest – I just did not want to leave, I felt totally at home here and the view that was laid out right in front of me was totally hypnotic – I hadn’t felt this chilled in a long time.

Komune Resort Bali

Komune Resort & Beach Club has so much to offer, you dont have to be a full time surfer to enjoy it here,  the hotel has a range of rooms, suites and villas which cater to everyone’s budget, along with a health “hub” a well equipped fitness centre and yoga retreat, long lap pool along with a day spa – there is not one reason you have to leave this resort after you arrive. Not knowing much about Komune when I visited, I can tell you I made it my priority to find out more once I arrived – this place is heaven. Now I have visited for the day – I am going to make it another priority to go back – but next time – I will definitely be staying for a couple of days to experience the hospitality that Komune is so obviously well known for. I would even go as far to say – skip Seminyak, get off the plane and head straight here for your holiday. I have no doubt that you will walk away feeling more relaxed than ever before.

If your heading for the day – be sure to phone ahead and let them know your coming, as very often they are booked out for weddings, etc. I mean really – why wouldn’t you want to get married here. What a great place to start the rest of your life together with the one you love.

I cannot recommend Komune highly enough and I cannot wait to get back again – but next time – I will be staying for a couple of days not a couple of hours. They may have trouble getting me to leave.

On a side note – my partners son left his ipad on one of the day beds, he did not tell us about this until the next day…. We called Komune, and yes his ipad had been found and was locked away – we are grateful to the wonderful staff at Komune for this.

ADDICTED TO PARADISE : Villa Coral Nusa Lembongan

villa coral nusa lembongan

It’s no secret that our go to getaway when we need to escape the silly that sometimes Seminyak is known for is Nusa Lembongan. We are pretty fussy about where we stay returning to our favorites again and again. But this time we thought – lets mix it up and try somewhere completely different. We got in touch with our friends at The Lembongan Traveller, who told us about a brand spanking new beach front villa in a secluded part of the island, so beach front in fact, you have to walk across the white sand to gain entry. Hello – book us in!

villa coral beach front

I must admit I was pretty excited to try some new digs on the island, a change is as good as a holiday, and that’s what we are on Lembongan for. As the Rocky’s Van made its way through the bumpy roads and overgrown foliage we were pretty eager to get to this new villa we had heard so much about – Villa Coral. Pulling up on a narrow road right next to Tamarind Beach – I knew I was staying somewhere absolutely beach front when the waves were lapping at my feet as I was wheeling my luggage as promised thru the white sand to get to Villa Corals entrance. We were not disappointed by what greeted us.

villa coral nusa lembongan

Very large and lovely, modern but in an elegant island style way this villa is cleverly designed so every inch of the bay is captured from every point of this double story villa.

This beach front beauty is tucked away in a private and very quiet part of the island, it’s truly beautiful, with every amenity that you will need during your stay provided for you. With four staff to take care of everything – all you need to do is sit back and do nothing – something I’m very good at.

villa coral nusa lembongan

The villa has 4 enormous, repeat ENORMOUS, air-conditioned bedrooms, each with king size beds and very generous ensuite bathrooms – all bedrooms have views of the beach and bay that stretch out as far as the eye can see.

villa coral nusa lembongan

We spent our days by or I should say laying in the infinity pool taking in the impressive outlook – the star of the show being Mt Agung – which, when he makes an appearance is seen perfectly from every location in this villa.

mount agung villa coral

The poolside bar got a good work out– that impressive stainless steel refrigerator kept our champagne chilled to perfection. The staff were always on hand with menus from local warungs and happily ordered delicious meals for us, collected them and lay out our dishes for us in the beautiful open-air dining area overlooking the pool and the beach.

Breakfast at villa coral is a great way to start your day – the staff cook up a some tasty treats that will keep you full right thru to lunch – so good in fact – we requested 2nd servings (my constant diet was forgotten for this getaway).

breakfast villa coral

This villa is literally on the beach! When the tide comes in – you open the front gate – and the waves almost reach the beautiful stone boundary. A walk along the beach you will find local fisherman untangling their nets whilst their young children play in the rock pools and waves.

At night take in the sunset from the poolside bar – or the view is just as good if not better from the upstairs lounge area.

With an air- conditioned entertainment room that also doubles as a massage room – This villa has everything to ensure your holiday is perfect in every way.

villa coral

There is lots to do on this island paradise, snorkel, explore, etc., but we have been to Lembongan many times before, so we decided just to chillax and enjoy everything that Villa Coral had to offer – that being the peaceful and secluded position – leaving us with the feeling that we had this whole stretch of beach to ourselves.

villa coral

Villa Coral is most certainly a beachfront beauty, a picture perfect position which will ensure your island getaway is as every bit as wonderful as the view it looks out to.

The Lembongan Traveller have this island covered – they can match you and your requirements to the perfect villa and book snorkelling trips, boating trips,  you want to do something – TLT can assist you.

If you haven’t been to Nusa Lembongan – can i suggest you put it on your itinerary next time you visit Bali – only a 30 minute boat ride from Sanur, i can promise you, you will become addicted.

Villa Coral can be booked through The Lembongan Traveller

Beach Club Beauty : Karma

karma beach club

Waking up everyday in paradise is indeed a blessing – so much to see, so much to do, so much to eat, so much to (dare I say) drink. That is the beauty of Bali – every day is an adventure and you are never ever stuck for things to do, see, experience or explore.

Today we decided to take the windey road that leads to Uluwatu and spend a day at Karma Beach Club – I mean lets face it, who wouldn’t want to spend the day laying on sun loungers, soaking up the sun and watching those waves barrel in.

The drive there can sometimes be a pain in the butt, however once you arrive – it is worth every bit of it.

Positioned on what is known as the Bukit Peninsula, Karma Kandra also offers luxury cliff top villa accommodation, but the beach club is open to all – best you book a day bed in advance – especially in the high season. Be sure to join the Karma Club before you go – as you get (i think) 20% off all food and beverage when you visit – hello = thank you karma.

When you arrive you will be literally awestruck by the view that greets you! Situated on a cliff overlooking the spectacular Indian Ocean– you will no doubt be wondering how in the hell you are going to get down to the beach – don’t freak out, there are not 10,00o steps to tire you out,  but an inclinator that travels down the face of the cliff providing an awe-inspiring ride and stunning views of the ocean and the limestone cliffs that surround this impressive region. Get your camera out !!!

karma beach club

Karma Beach is truly breathtaking, we can see why it was named one of the Worlds 50 best beach bars by CNN Travel – private and tucked away from everything – you feel like you have arrived at your own beachside oasis.

karma beach club

karma beach club

The gorgeous staff will show you to your sun loungers, each with a beach towel and shaded by large umbrella’s, they will bring you a menu and the all important cocktail list – and from there your day will only get better.

The ocean is so blue – you will want to dive on in straight away – but please note – the waves and current here can be risky, and the rocks in some parts of this beach can be slippery and sharp – so be sure to maneuver you way thru safely. Or do what we do – bring those ugly reef walker shoes – not very flattering – but you will thank me later.

The large open air, thatched roof beach hut style restaurant provides a tasty and generous asian & Mediterranean themed menu, and trust me the chefs here do it well. Pizzas, Pastas, Seafood, Sushi and Sashimi – there is so much on this menu that we wanted to try. We went for the seafood paella, which was scrumptious, the prawns fresh, large and delicious and the greek salad perfect.

karma beach club

karma lunch

It wouldn’t be a day out if we didn’t participate in a few cocktails – and like their food menu there is so lots too chose from – and the barman didn’t disappoint, the frozen ginger martini, the karma spritz and the all time favourite espresso martinis are all to made to perfection.

cocktails at karma

Lay back for the rest of the afternoon, perhaps get a massage under the shaded bales, or if the tide is out wander further up the beach and take in the beauty of this part of the island, if you have young children with you,  the Three Monkeys Kids Club will be happy to help, leaving you to enjoy some quiet time, or cocktail time.

karma beach club

Don’t want to leave ? You can continue well into the evening, with dinner served on the beach (tide permitting) or dine at Di Mare their stunning restaurant at the top of the cliff overlooking their pool and views out onto the indian ocean – be sure to try their vanilla martini !

And……there is always the luxe Karma Villas if your driver got tired of waiting for you and you need somewhere amazing to stay.

The Karma Group are currently expanding – and offering luxury accommodation and beach clubs at exotic locations all over the world. If your travelling further than bali – be sure to look out for them.

Everything – and I mean everything about Karma Beach Club is quite simply Magical – The sand is golden and the ocean is blue – this is your Karma – sit back and enjoy your day.

Snob notes :

situated approx 45 minutes drive from seminyak

Entrance fee: IDR 350,000 including IDR 150.000 Food and Beverage credit.

STARTING THE DAY OFF RIGHT : Breakfast in the Yak

Our hood is known for its amazing restaurants, places where you wine and dine at night whilst watching the sunset, well you may or may not know it – but some of these places actually serve up some of the best breakies  that you will ever taste, and better still all at a fraction of the price that you will get at home.

Often  when you book your accommodation breakfast is included, like the resort style  buffet, where you have to stand in line waiting whilst the guy in front of you picks over the best pieces of bacon, or maybe you are staying at a private villa where they cook up the standard “American”  breakfast  (yawn) . Tip – take your accommodation without breakfast (it will save you money) and get out and try some of the incredible places you have more than likely heard about and probably seen on social media.

Seminyak is full of them – enough great places to have you eating the most important meal of the day somewhere different for your 10 day vacay.

Here are some of our favourites :

cafe organic

This place has rocketed to breakfast stardom over the last 6 months – purely because what they do is delicious, fresh and healthy. The menu is full of amazingness offering plates that scream good for you. The smoothie bowls make a great start to any day and come served in a coconut – too cute, that along with a green juice and top it off with a coconut milk latte , even if your not that healthy, you will feel it after that. If you want something bigger and badder for breakfast – two words Breakfast Criminal, this number comes stacked high to the sky with loads of tasty goodness and topped off with two poached eggs. YUM. And the aptly named Big Breakfast is enough to fill the emptiest of tummies. For lunch give the veggie burger a go or get stuck in to a salad, topped off with a smoothie, you will be full for hours.

We love everything about the Petitenget Breakfast, offering specials that change up daily, the breakfast is big and always comes served with a smile – my personal favourite is the Green Eggs and Ham I want to inhale it the minute it lands on the table. Chef Simon sources locally organic grown produce and you can taste it. The breakfast offering is large and has something for everyone, Granolas, The Gadang Breakfast Salad, Glutton Free Mashed Avo, Blueberry Pancakes – The juices are fab and land on the table  in a minature jug that you pour yourself (cute) and the coffee is just like back home.

breakfast sea circus

We adore this bright, fun, laidback and vibrant café !  Sea Circus do a great lunch and dinner, but their breakfast will keep you coming back each morning. No beach views here but what they put on the plate should keep your eyes and your tummy satisfied. The pesto eggs gets me every time but the dragon bowl served with granola, frozen dragon fruit, mango, banana and coconut water topped with a rainbow of fresh fruit is filling and tastes so healthy. Feeling a bit shady after last nights big one? Well Sea Circus have the perfect cure – The Happy Hangover Meal – served with a Berocca and a neck massage if required – hello brilliant! The staff are chirpy and very patient as you peruse the menu trying to decide what to try. Coffee is fab and their fresh juices are served super chilled.

Screen Shot 2016-03-31 at 10.56.11 AM

Yes – I kid you not, these guys are open morning, noon and night – and Breakfast at the KU is made even tastier whilst looking out over the waves crashing down on Seminyak beach. The menu is small but is full of tasty selections, smashed avo (add a poached egg or two and a side of mushrooms), the breakfast burrito and the corn and zucchini fritters are favorites, and they even have a menu dedicated for the kids. A great choice of juices and smoothies – coffee is okay, there is better out there, but the food and outlook will help you forget about your caffeine addiction. Bring your bathers – as no doubt you will end up staying for the day and the pool is too pretty to say no to.

Another restaurant known for its amazing Italian dishes served up in the evening– but did you know La Lucciola is open for breakfast ? No – well you do now. We LOVE eating breakfast at La louch – not only for its perfect pre noon food – but because this beautiful eatery looks impressive during the day – not a wall in sight, this huge open restaurant looks out onto the gorgeous large green lawn stretching out onto the beach – you will be in heaven. Request a table on the first floor – views spectacular and you will appreciate the breeze coming in off the beach. Dishing up your more traditional breakfast fares – eggs benedict, hash browns, etc, you will find yourself sitting here for hours sipping on lattes or their fresh fruit granitas which will cool anyone down on a hot Seminyak morning.

Screen Shot 2016-03-31 at 10.48.23 AM

Revolver Hidden just off oberoi and sometimes hard to find – but dont give up – this cool kids hangout is where its at, so popular, they have extended their café so to fit more of their devotees. Love the menu here not only for the deliciousness on offer – but for the names of the dishes ! The Smith & Wesson, the Double Barrel and of course the Revolver are must try’s – packed with yumminess – you wont need to eat again till dinner ! Loads of sides on offer if whats on your plate is not enough. Everything here is GOOD. I Love every single thing on the menu and better still – Hands Down – best coffee on the island, this shabby chic café serves up the good stuff.

There are so many amazing places here, some others to try, Shelter, Grocer & Grind, Watercress, Crate Cafe, Milk & Madu… the list just goes on. Next time your in town, make sure you skip the breakfast option at the hotel….. and give some of these gems a try ! Start your day right.

beach, bali, pandawa

beach, bali, pandawa

Scrolling thru your instagram feed and spotted beaches that you cannot believe are found in Bali? Well let me tell you something – they do exist and they are incredible! Bali is chock-full of beaches that scream AMAZING – some are just a short scooter ride away and some are worthy of 2 night getaways and many of them are so secret you may never be able to find them.

Pandawa Beach is very worthy of a day trip; it has just recently become quite popular, as word has spread about this amazing long stretch of white sand and crystal clear blue water.

This place is old school Bali – no Starbucks or circle k’s in sight, just beach umbrellas and sarong sellers as far as the eye can see.

beach, bali, pandawa

Getting there can be a bit of schlep. As you drive down winding roads that you think lead to nowhere, but believe me once you reach the descent  in that road that leads to the start of this stretch of paradise you will know you have arrived somewhere.

When you first hit the car park – you may spot many big busses – but don’t despair – get off your scooter and head down to the paved path take a right and keep walking, you will see lots of “tin sheds” all housing warungs selling the yummiest and freshest local food, gado gado, satays, nasi goreng and lots more. The brightly coloured loungers can be “rented” for the day all shaded by big beach umbrella’s protecting you from the hot hot sun.

beach, bali, pandawa

Snobs – Welcome to Pandawa beach. Picture perfect and pristine. Swim, snorkel, hire a paddleboat and head out to the waves past the rocks, where you will spot fish and be in awe at the crystal clear turquoise water.  Pandawa provides a perfect Bali beach day for everyone.

beach, bali, pandawa

Whilst you are laying in the water turn around and look up to the cliffs and checkout the lux villas that take in the magnificent view of pandawa from up high. These villas are all available to rent but you may need a lotto win to be able to afford the nightly rate.

beach, bali, pandawa

Looking to escape the throng of Seminyak, us Snobs suggest a day trip to Pandawa where you will experience the real old school Bali.

Snobs tip : If heading there for the first time – take a driver – it can be a little hard to find but once you have been once you will never have a problem finding it again.

splash, bali, water park

LETS GET WET : Splash Waterpark at Canggu Club

splash, canggu club, waterparks, baliGot kids and looking for something fun to do for the day? Or are you just a big kid and interested in getting wet? Well Splash water park at the Canggu Club will do just that.

There is something for everyone ensuring that the day is full of fun in and out of the water. There is a great choice of water amusement rides that suit all ages. From the Super Bowl, which will whirl you round in circles before you drop out into the big plunge pool below. FUN.  Then there is the Big Red which has you sliding and weaving down this long red tube and before you know it you have hit the pool at the end – hold on to your top ladies – because its sure to come flying off.

waterpark, bali, seminyak

For the small kids, there is a great little water wonderland which is will keep your toddlers amused for hours and is always supervised (as is every other part of the park) by lifeguards who love blowing their whistle.

splash, kids, fun in bali

Mums, plonk yourself down on one of the loungers that line the pools and let the kids run wild, order a wine or a cocktail from the bar, read you latest copy of Vogue or leave Dad in charge and go and get a massage from the Body Temple Spa.

This place is loads of fun, everything you need is on site, there is an entrance fee and this allows you unlimited use of all the pools and slides. They provide towels, but i think there is IDR 50,000 charge per person.

Great choice of food available, tacos, salads, burgers, sandwiches and a whole lot more.

And if you want to get away from all the slide and splash action their is a huge 25m lap pool which is a lot quieter so you can hide from the kids and catch up quietly on your emails.

splash, lap pool, seminyak

Splash is a whole lot of fun, a smaller scale waterpark, by no means is it as big as Waterbom, but we think its just as fun.

ISLAND HOPPING : Nusa Lembongan

Oh my SNOB,  Nusa Lembongan is pure perfection – this small friendly chilled out island has such a relaxed vibe and is only 12 kms away from Bali meaning it  provides a great weekend getaway or the perfect long stay holiday away from the hustle and bustle of  home.

Screen Shot 2016-02-21 at 11.21.47 AM

Where to start !  So much to see So much to do…. or if your a bit like me, not to do – i come here to relax and do nothing.

This island is a short 30 minute boat ride away from Bali, but when you land it feels like you have stepped back in time – it is literally Bali 30 years ago. We love Lembongan – i mean whats not to love. White soft sand beaches, crystal clear blue waters, no traffic, friendly smiling locals, grass roof huts on the beach, palm trees everywhere – it is pure paradise. As your boat transfer makes it way up to the shore, your will be in awe at the gorgeous vista that literally takes your breathe away.

There is a great selection of accommodation on the island, from home stays, to huts on the beach, to resorts and the most stunning and luxe beach front villas. The Snobs always use The Lembongan Traveller when making our bookings – these guys have the island covered and know everything that is happening.  Wherever you stay – I guarantee you will  be no more than a 5 minute walk to one of the gorgeous beaches that surround this island, if not ocean front where the big blue bay will be right in front of you.

Screen Shot 2016-02-23 at 2.20.58 PM

The snobs love  Villa Lago which is private 4 bedroom villa situated right on coconuts beach and is STUNNING – (check out our review here ).  We also love our stays at Batu Karang  Which is a beautiful boutique resort that is carved into one of the hillsides that you cant miss when you arrive on the island.  You will do nothing but relax if you decide to stay here, the staff will make sure of that. The only resort of its type on the island, this place has it all including 3 huge pools, one with a swim up bar (hello cocktails). The rooms are super generous, all with 4 poster beds, and outdoor bathrooms all with generous size stone bathtubs, big balcony’s  and nearly all have a 180 degree view looking over the spectacular Lembongan bay. The 3 bedroom penthouse is perched high at the top of the resort and the views are stunning – especially when Mt Agung pokes his head out from behind the clouds to say hi.Our favourite villa rooms are #17 and #18 – right at the top and a 3 step walk to one of pools. Karang has a great restaurant, Muntings, offering local and western food – all of it delish.

view from the top at batu kerang

There is so much to do on Lembongan – Love to surf – well this place is famous for its superb surf breaks like Playgrounds, Lacerations and Shipwrecks. The  snorkelling and scuba diving is amazing – all in crystal clear waters – there are some fantastic snorkelling spots – the locals know them well – we book Captain Nemo’s every time – his fishing boat is fairly new and comes equiped with snorkelling gear and fishing rods – he knows every nook and cranny and can take you snorkelling at Mangroves, Crystal Bay or The Wall – where you will feel like you are swimming in an aquarium.  Snob Tip – snorkel in the afternoon, and head back at around 4pm – and I  PROMISE you will see dolphins splashing around. They come out to play once all the big boats have headed back to the mainland.

Screen Shot 2016-02-23 at 2.21.34 PM

Want to kick back, relax, take in a pizza and sip on a cocktail – The Deck is the perfect place for you. This super cool cafe and bar is situated right below Batu Karang on the boardwalk and is as waterfront as you can get – any closer you will get wet. This place is a favourite with everyone who visits the island, the pizzas, panini’s, pies, home baked cakes, fresh juices, healthy smoothies and promise – best coffee you will get on the island. The un-obstructed view on the lower deck is quite simply ahhhhmazing – perfect possie to sip cocktails and take in all the activity that is happening on the bay and of course when the sun sets – this is one of the best spots on the island to watch it all go down. Staying on the other side of the island ? No Problem – Batu Karang offer a free pick up and drop of service to your accommodation.

Screen Shot 2016-02-23 at 2.24.28 PM

Nusa Lembongan definitely offers something for everyone, whether you just want to lie around, read, sunbake and swim – but if you want to explore – there is so much to see. You can hire a scooter or even a buggy to get around the island on. Head over to Dream Beach where you will find a small but fun beach club with a two tiered pool looking out over this beautiful beach. You can stay at one of their Beach Huts – we haven’t done this – its a bit back packerish and the reviews on trip adviser are not great – but a visit to their beach club is well worth it.

Screen Shot 2016-02-23 at 2.09.06 PM

Another place worth a visit is Sandy Bay & Sunset Beach – this pretty place is home to the Sandy Bay Beach Club. A great place to wine, dine and just lay around and watch the waves crash onto the sand.  . It is situated (again) right on the beach and has a cool little pool with day beds surrounding it. This place is fab for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering a great selection of bbq’d seafood, burgers and of course lots of local selections. The wine list is fantastic and is served nice and cold. Must try : the coconut prawns. Again Sandy Bay Beach Club offers pick up and drop offs right to your door.  Be sure to check out The Walking Tree Boutique at the front as you enter Sandy Bay Beach Club and if you need a mani, pedi or a massage the lovely ladies at Glo Spa right next door will be happy to oblige and can even come to where your staying if cant be bothered leaving your pool side position.

This island is perfect for families with so many activities to keep them busy, paddle boards, SUP, jet skies, cliff jumping, fishing, the list just keeps going on and on. Lembongan provides everyone, young and old, single or taken the perfect holiday destination.

We have so much more to share you on Lembongan; swimming with the mantra’s, scuba adventures, exploring the neighbouring islands Nusa Penida the largest of the three neighbouring islands  & Nusa Cenengan – which we will do shortly – but us snobs promise that you will fall in love with Lembongan, we did, thats why we keep going back whenever we can.

The Lembongan Traveller can help you with everything, from accommodation, to dining out, to scooter hire, everything you need – TLT can help – contact them or us if you need any further info or suggestions.

Snob Tip : If you are coming to bali – make sure your itinerary includes lembongan – you would be crazy not too.

front row seats

sunsets at kudeta

I’m super lucky to live within walking distance to Seminyak’s very glam beach club KUDETA, hence why its become my “local”. Most nights you will find me down there ready to take in the amazing sunsets that takes place right on their front door step. This place is an institution in Bali, and is on everyone’s “must do list” when they land on this beautiful island. A trip to Bali is incomplete unless you witness a sunset at this iconic beach front bar.

As you walk up the steps to the main entrance and are greeted by the friendly staff  you will feel the energy that this club is known for worldwide.  Get ready as the beautiful vista of Seminyak beach literally takes your breath away, especially if you visit around sunset time. This place is pure magic.

Lay back on one of the day beds, or grab a seat in what we call the “mosh pit” and you have literally got front row seats to one of the most spectacular shows on earth! A Seminyak Sunset.

front row seats

With cool tunes from the resident DJ’s playing, waves crashing on the sand, beach sellers trying to sell you stuff you don’t really need but cant help but check out – and the BEST people watching place in town – you will spend hours here and be captivated by what’s going on around you.

Cocktails are amazing and I guarantee you will down a few of them – I have drunk more Watermelon & Mint Martini’s than I have had hot dinners….. I can never stop at one, I have stumbled out of here more times than I care to remember (oops). The food is freeeking fabulous too, pizzas tick, (another great body is my personal favourite) sushimi  tick, tacos tick – everything is scrumptious. Or if you feel like something a little bit more spesh…. grab a table at one of their two restaurants – both of them will leave you wanting just a little bit more – all put together by the brilliant chefs Ben & Steve and their talented team.

sunset show

kudeta daytime

I can promise by the end of night you will be dancing by the edge of pool gazing up into the stars and by then you will know for sure you are in paradise.

Snob tip: always book whether it be for a day bed, a seat in the mosh pit or a table for 4 at the restaurant – you don’t want to miss a night at kudeta.  They have recently popped in a pool (as you do) making it a super cool place to hang during the day too.
